Here is a look at what is open and closed on the 2016 Civic Holiday, also known as Simcoe Day in Toronto.

What’s closed on Monday:

  • Government offices
  • Banks
  • Public Libraries
  • No Canada Post delivery

What is open on Monday:

  • Select LCBO and Beer Store locations
  • Major malls such as the Eaton Centre (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.), Yorkdale Mall (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.) Fairview Mall (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.), Square One (10 a.m. to 9 p.m.), Vaughan Mills (10 a.m. to 7 p.m.), and Scarborough Town Centre (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.)
  • Tourist attractions such as The Toronto Zoo, the Royal Ontario Museum, Ripley’s Aquarium and Canada’s Wonderland
  • Most grocery stores
  • Restaurants
  • Movie theatres

Transit:

  • The TTC will be running on a holiday schedule
  • GO Transit will operate on a Saturday schedule
